When I added Barbossa-Rotvis od Vadanora to my kennel, I did so, not only because he was a world class confirmation male with the perfect working temperament, I also added him because I knew what his lines regularly produce. Barbossa’s father and grandfather are some of the best producers in the world. One of my first breedings with Barbosssa was to my very own, Champion Tonka Earl Antonius. With Tonka also being a top Rottweiler, I had high hopes for that litter, and I was not disappointed. I produced an amazing litter, which included "Glory" Glorious vom Hause Harless.
Glory has certainly lived up to her name so far. In her final four shows as a puppy, she placed 2nd only once, and placed 1st, winning her class as well as Best Female Puppy in three of the final four shows. Now, she is moving on to compete in the youth classes, where we expect she will have similar success!
Physically, Glory takes after her mother, Tonka. She certainly inherited Tonka's powerful and athletic build. With Barbossa as her father however, she is an even larger version of her mother, with more substance and bone. Many judges have commented that she has a strong, well-set neck, with an excellent fore chest and a broad, very well developed chest. She also has a straight front with excellent front and rear angulation, and a strong table-top flat topline and good bottom line. Additionally, she has excellent, dynamic movement with great reach and drive.
Glory is not just another pretty face, her temperament is a perfect combination of that of Barbossa and Tonka. She has Tonka’s unwavering focus, and she has a solid mix of strong drive from Barbossa and Tonka. In the show ring, this perfect blend of both her parents translates to Glory having a truly inspiring presence.
Glory is proving to be an amazing girl, and what I've always dreamt of producing. She is certainly living up to her name: Glorious!!!
